Raoul Hausmann was a pivotal figure in Dadaism in Berlin and had a decisive influence on the development of art in the 20th century. His extensive artistic and theoretical work ranges from sculptures and paintings to literature and photogaphy as well as mythology. His literary and artistic remains, consisting of several thousand pages, are in the Berlin Gallery as well as in the Musée départemental d’art contemporain de Rochechouart (France). In addition to a knowledgeable overview of the artist’s work, a brief biographical outline and an extensive bibliography, this volume also includes the first complete publication of both catalogues of his estate.
