Elena Louisa Lange

• Elena Loiusa Lange, PhD
• Born in 1976 in Hamburg
• Studies in Philosophy and Japanology at the universities of Hamburg, Fukui/Japan and Zurich
• PhD thesis (University of Zurich) on Nishida Kitarō
• Since April 2013, she holds a postdoc-scholarship granted by the Swiss National Fund and works as a research assistant with her own project on Uno Kōzō and the Marxist criticism of political economy

Research areas:

Japanese Intellectual History, especially the history of reception of Marxist economic criticism; Critical Theory in Japan and Europe; Kant and German Idealism; modern Political Philosophy (Žižek, Badiou, Rancière) and Nationalistic discourses in Germany and Japan.
