Klaus Obenauer
- Born in 1966
- Assistant professor for Catholic Theology at the university of Bonn
- Studied in Mainz and Freiburg
- PhD thesis in 1995 on Bonaventura’s doctrine of the trinity (supervisor: Gisbert Greshake)
- Postdoctoral lecture qualification in 2005 at the university of Bonn (supervisor: Karl-Heinz Menke)
- His postdoctoral thesis »Rückgang auf die Evidenz« (2006) is a critical and modifying adaptation of the method developed by the School of Meréchal, as well as a new attempt to create a new foundation of Metaphysics in the spirit of transcendental Thomism.
- Klaus Obenauer is committed to the Thomist paradigma yet appropriates it in an innovative and reflexive manner
- He is currently working on the Thomist concept of constitutional Christology
