›Sein und Zeit‹ (Being and Time) is regarded as one of the most important philosophical books of the 20th century. Nevertheless precise philological analyses of the text have still not been done up to now. The handbook provides aids for the systematic philological compilation and thus also for the philosophical understanding of the text. During the fifty years of its many editions, the text of ›Sein und Zeit‹ had a history which often remained hidden even to the experts.
