Internationale Hölderlin-Bibliographie

Based on the post 1984 acquisitions of the Hoelderlin Archive this edition continues Maria Kohler’s Hoelderlin bibliography 1804–1983 (= Erste Ausgabe) which contains secondary material, critical reception in literature and the most important Hoelderlin editions. Content and classification of the post 1984 IHB are expanded. Using computer technology the bibliography lists German language editions of Hoelderlin’s works as well as translations, documents, reviews, secondary material, and selectively Hoelderlin’s critical reception in literature, theatre, film, the visual arts, and music. It also contains primary and secondary source material in the field of Germanic studies, philosophy, theology, history, art, music, education, and psychiatry. Works about and around the Hoelderlin circle are selectively included. The IHB is divided in an index part and a bibliographic part. The index part includes a classified overview, a classified and alphabetic subject headings index based on a 6,000 word thesaurus, and a name and title index. Individual reference numbers for the different materials indexed enable the user to handle efficiently this fundamental research tool.
