This volume contains the first ever publication of Schelling’s manuscript, which served as the basis for his first Munich lectures on the »System der Weltalter« during the winter semester of 1827/28. It also includes the amendments Schelling made to the original text for his lectures up to 1836. With the »System der Weltalter«, Schelling takes the step from his philosophy of the ages towards a foundation for his positive philosophy.
