Carl Hauptmann. Chronik zu Leben und Werk.
This chronicle of Carl Hauptmann’s (1858–1921) life and work, which was compiled without the input of previous literary research, is based largely on the substantial number of works in his literary estate. It is not only a chronological listing of biographical details but also attempts to give an overall picture of Hauptmann as a person and of his life’s work by divulging many different kinds of facts of different origin. This provides a new basis for dealing with his work.
