What can be utilized beneficially? For the techniques of life are not only ingenious, they are also by nature also adapated to the environment. In the ›Werkstatt Bionik und Evolutionstechnik‹ (Workshop of Bionics and Evolution Technology) series, solutions from nature are disassembled, examined and reconstructed. Ingo Rechenberg, the editor of the series, is the founder of the evolution strategies and since 1973 has held the chair for bionics and evolution technology, which was created especially for him, at the Technical University of Berlin.
