Bernard Bolzano: Band I,15,2: Vermischte Schriften 1837–1838 II

In the appendix to his ›Henotikon‹ (1836), Wilhelm Traugott Krug published a letter from a follower of Bolzano in which the latter urged him to study Bolzano’s Textbook of Religious Studies. In response, Krug published his Antidoton that same year in order to refute Bolzano’s »deceptive works.« In response to certain distortions of his views on the science of religion, Bolzano, for his part (with the assistance of his friends, particularly Johann August Zimmermann), wrote a letter to Krug in which he subjected Krug’s account to scrutiny. In addition to ›Krug and Bolzano‹ (1837), this volume also includes, in an appendix, an excerpt from Bolzano’s treatise on Hermes, which appeared in 1840 under the title »Doubt and Philosophy.«
