Based on the Port-Royal grammar and that of Du Marsais Beauzée (1717–1789) obtained results which were able to be adopted by a modern metatheory of a language model. In his opinion, the universal grammar was a science, since it is actually based on invariable and general principles of language. The specific grammars on the other hand serve only the acquisition of certain languages by expressing their randomness in practical rules.
