System der Welt – Welt der Systeme

Schelling’s concept of »system«, first realised in his ›System of Transcendental Idealism‹ (1800), is based on the conviction that »truth exists only in the system, in the organic context of the living whole« (›Ages of the world‹). The explication of this modern concept of »system« into a plurality of individual sciences, which together as an organic unity once again represent the image of the whole and its phenomena, the »world«, completes the transition from the »system of the world« to the »world of systems«. This volume contains the outstanding papers presented at the international congress on Schelling’s 250th birthday in 2025 at the Bavarian Academy of Sciences in Munich. – With contributions by Thomas Buchheim, Christian Danz, Markus Gabriel, Mildred Galland-Szymkowiak, Marcela García, Lore Hühn, Vicki Müller-Lüneschloß, Peter Oesterreich, Tanehisa Otabe, Jesper Rasmussen, Philipp Schwab und Petar Šegedin.
